Lena is so generous to share her knowledge in the best ways to help learners be successful. She is not a pretentious artist and does not hide techniques to preserve her own status. Her videos explain “why” as well as “how”. The only suggestion I have is to add a one-page .pdf at he end of each course which summarizes the materials, measurements and quantities needed. That way, when I later make the project, I do not have to go thru the videos to search for specific measurements or quantities.

Read MoreIt is hard to say which one of Lena's courses is my favorite (I took three), but I personally like to wear the scarf made in this technique best. Fine felt achieved through this process with 3D embellishment is what I was trying to do for couple of years now but didn't know how. I was already quite experienced felt maker so I didn't expect to learn as mush as I did. Lena's courses are absolutely best as she thoroughly explains every single detail with no shortcuts but step by step instructions that leaves students confident and eager to start. Last but not least, Lena's likable personality and smile makes the whole experience enjoyable. What is more Lena always gives extra tips and info on different aspects of felting.

“I have now signed up for and completed an online course to wet felt a beautiful scarf using merino wool, silk and viscose, the videos were very comprehensive, gave detailed instructions, good close up shots to further explain a process, they were broken down into manageable sections so you could revisit if you needed to, I was so happy that Lena didn’t add music to the videos as the quiet time allowed me to digest what I was watching. I was very impressed with not only the quality of the videos but also the scarf I made, and although not as perfect as Lena’s I’m sure with practice I will improve. As an incentive to practice and improve skills, Lena has a closed Facebook group so we can share images of our work, get feedback, ask questions and be supported in our felting journey. I look forward to the next project”
